Your heart.   Chamberlain College of Nursing clinical educators experience the powerful satisfaction that comes from helping educate, empower and embolden students and advance the health of people, families, and communities as we face new challenges ahead together.   Will you join us?    Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part Time Clinical Instructors interested in teaching students in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program studying at our Munster campus.    Teaching opportunities are available throughout the region.  Clinical teaching is typically scheduled for at least one weekday (M-F), daytime for an 8-week session at a clinical partner site.  Chamberlain students experience practice settings that include large and small hospitals, long-term care facilities, community and public-health agencies, faith-based service organizations, independent practices, ambulatory care centers, public health agencies, military services (Army, Navy, and Air Force), VA Medical Centers, schools, home health environments…anywhere healthcare is delivered.   We build long-term relationships with superior nurse educators who are experts in their field and committed to providing the finest in practitioner-focused education.   We are presently accepting applications for the following specialty:   Maternal Child Nursing This course focuses on family-centered approaches to maternal/newborn care and incorporates health promotion and wellness issues. The childbearing cycle, including normal experience, high-risk factors, complications and alterations are studied. Additional women’s health issues are included.     We invite interested candidates to submit their resume for future consideration.

Descriptive statistics are used to understand sample data and inferential concepts are incorporated by using data to draw conclusions about populations. Statistical literacy designed to help facilitate understanding and analyzing information in today's technological world is emphasized.   MATH-399: Applied Managerial Statistics This course stresses the practical use of statistics in the collecting, organizing, analyzing, interpreting and presenting of data. Both descriptive and inferential techniques are covered.   MATH-062: Beginning Algebra This transitional studies course introduces critical elements of algebra for linear equations and inequalities. Coursework progresses from order of operations and combining like terms through addition and multiplication rules for solving linear equations. Students then apply these rules to inequalities. Graphing in two variables is introduced, as are exponents, polynomials and polynomial operations.    MATH-114: Algebra for College Students This course focuses on topics such as basic treatment of algebraic expressions, solving linear equations and inequalities, graphing linear equations and inequalities, polynomial operations, positive and negative integral exponents, factoring, systems of linear equations, radical and rational expressions, quadratic equations and various application problems   Courses may meet one or two times per week during the daytime for eight weeks. The face-to-face interaction in lab and classroom is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment.
