Chamberlain College of Nursing is pleased to announce part time teaching opportunities at our campus in Addison, IL.
The typical course of instruction may include: Anatomy & Physiology I-IV with Lab:
This is a four-course sequence in which human anatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach. Coursework emphasizes interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels of organization.
Topics include:
BIOS-242 thru BIOS-271: Microbiology with Lab:
This course is the first in a two-course sequence addressing basic foundations of chemistry and microbiology, using an integrated approach. Through total integration and problem-solving approaches, aspects of the two disciplines are emphasized. Topics include basic chemistry, with introduction to organic and biochemistry; microbial classification and genetics; and cellular structure and function.
CHEM-120: Introduction to General, Organic & Biological Chemistry with Lab:
This introduction to general, organic and biological chemistry includes topics such as chemical nomenclature, structures, equations, calculations and solutions. In addition, the chemical structure and function of biological macromolecules are surveyed. Lab exercises relate to topics discussed.
Courses meet once or twice a week, for 2-4 hours per day, courses run in eight week sessions. The face-to-face interaction in lab and classroom is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment. Commitment is on a course by course basis.
