  • Opportunity at a Glance

    Under direct supervision of the department head, performs clerical and support duties for the department.

    Responsibilities

    • Greets and assists visitors.
    • Answer telephone, convey messages, run errands
    • Proofread records or forms
    • Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, and reserves and prepares facilities.
    • Photocopies, collates and distributes correspondence, articles, reports, bulletins, etc.
    • Develop and maintain department filing systems.
    • Coordinates manager’s schedule and makes appointments.
    • Orders and maintain supplies, and arranges equipment maintenance
    • Refers questions and issues to others.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.  
    • Previous work experience a plus.
    • Typing skills of at least 40 wpm. 
    • Experienced in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
