Opportunity at a Glance

The Manager, Student Services is responsible for managing the Student Services Department at a Chamberlain campus, which may include, student finance, academic advising, registrar services, and campus life and career services. This position may also assume the responsibilities of a Student Services Supervisor and manages a portfolio of students. 

Responsibilities

  • Manages  activities of advisors to ensure that all new and continuing students receive effective student finance, academic advisement and counseling.
  • Responsible for selecting, training, supervising, and evaluating professional and student staff.
  • Responsible for reporting on all student services areas on campus.
  • Monitors key metrics for all student service areas and provides feedback on metrics to staff.
  • Develops, monitors, and reports on all student service areas..
  • Develops and implements methods or systems to measure the quality of student services to students, as well as, their satisfaction levels.
  • Ensures that all students receive a comprehensive education financial plan.
  • Ensures the effective execution of all student education financial plans. 
  • Serves as liaison with DeVry student finance operations and coordinates activities with admissions. 
  • Supervises all Title IV and other audits.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area required; Master’s degree preferred
  • At least one year of management experience in Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration or related area. 
  • Experience with INS, ADA, VA, and teaching, desired.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, and communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels as well as with people of all cultures.
  • PC skills and proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet, and web-based search engines and applications required.
