If you have a passion for guiding others to success, especially in Higher Education, the Supervisor, Student Services, may be the opportunity for you. As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the academic advising and the student finance process.  The Supervisor assigns and oversees the completion of the Student Support Advisors daily workload and resolves student issues when they are escalated for special handling.  As a leader of the team, the Supervisor will acts as a subject matter expert in support of the Student Support Advisors.




As the Supervisor, Student Services, you will:


  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the team to ensure the efficient delivery of services to students in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Monitor operations to ensure practices are in compliance with federal, state and accreditation and corporate regulations.
  • Evaluate the performance of SSAs, including monitoring phone and case quality and employee coaching and development. Ensure that team members know and understand their responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities.
  • Monitor team performance.
  • Provide manager with tracking, reporting and assessment of outcomes.
  • Serve as the escalation point for students as necessary. Respond to and resolve escalated student issues in a timely manner. Provide information regarding resolution to students and also to any employee involved in handling the student issue.
  • Evaluate and review current student service practices and processes. Develop and implements continuous improvements for department.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of student service experience, at least some of which should be in a supervisory capacity, to include academic advising, student finance or a combination.
  • Working knowledge of Title IV regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and customer service skills.
  • PC skills in Microsoft office, database and internet applications.
