Part Time Sim Lab Coordinator will provide direct student contact hours for Simulation clinicals as well as facilities clinical rotations.  The activities include set-up, pre-conference, Sim scenario, debrief and take down of Sim set-up.  When scheduled for facility clinical rotations, it involves patient assignments, pre-conference, clinical activities and monitoring, and post-conference.  Each area demands administrative hours of grading, assessing, and evaluation of student performance and posting attendance and grades 

 

Responsibilities

  • Specific Duties to Be Performed: The position will provide direct student contact hours for Simulation clinicals as well as facilities clinical rotations.  The activities include set-up, pre-conference, Sim scenario, debrief and take down of Sim set-up.  When scheduled for facility clinical rotations, it involves patient assignments, pre-conference, clinical activities and monitoring, and post-conference.  Each area demands administrative hours of grading, assessing, and evaluation of student performance and posting attendance and grades 

Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 We prefer:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree for clinical instruction, Master’s Degree for didactic instructions.
  • If less education, for example could possibly consider someone with experience as a paramedic they would only work about 16 hours in Sim Lab
  • A current RN license allows them to also work teaching Skills Lab and Clinicals bringing the hours up to 20-29 a week
  • 3 years Minimum Nursing Experience preferred
  • Must demonstrate competency in the assigned teaching field.
  • Teaching and/or supervisory experience desirable.
  • Must be good with IT equipment, downloading data and troubleshooting
