    The primary purpose of this position is, with supervision from the Provost, to work in orchestration with the home office academics team to provide General Education expertise, guidance, and leadership in support of new program development and implementation, curriculum development, course development, programmatic accreditation, program review and continuous improvement, student learning outcomes reporting, review, assessment, academic quality, curriculum maintenance / standardization, and faculty training and development.


    • Provide General Education expertise, guidance, and management in the areas that support new program development and implementation. This includes providing research and input into decision-making relating to the support of new programs as well as setting expectations and managing the associate dean of curriculum relating to development of new support courses. Coordinate LAS course with new program roll-out plan development and implementation.
    • Provide General Education expertise, guidance, and leadership in the areas of program review and continuous improvement efforts. This includes leading and managing the program review process, collecting and reviewing matrices from program directors, consolidating, packaging and proposing global recommendations, and communicating to the field progress of global recommendations and potential implementation plans and dates.
    • Provide excellent communication among faculty and academic leadership to ensure for high levels of engagement and ongoing success. Work closely with Operations team members to ensure seamless oversite of the general education delivery of courses and labs.
    • Provide General Education expertise, guidance, and leadership in the areas of student learning outcomes reporting, review, and assessment. This includes assisting faculty and program directors in the ongoing review of student learning outcomes and development of course and program improvement plans.
    • Provide General Education expertise, guidance, and leadership in the areas of programmatic accreditation. This includes accreditation training, internal audits by program, mock accreditation audits, site visitation preparation, review of written accreditation reports, assisting in writing improvement plans, tracking and follow through on all programmatic accreditation visits, reports and improvement plans.
    • Provide General Education expertise, guidance, and matrix leadership in the areas of ensuring academic quality, consistency, and standardization. This includes assessing academic quality in the classroom via learning outcomes management, ensuring course syllabi are standardized across programs, and training program directors to educate their faculty on good teaching and instruction practice. This also includes maintenance of curriculum and ensuring like programs are using standardized curriculum.
    • Provide General Education expertise, guidance, and leadership in the areas of faculty onboarding, training and development.
    • Complete other duties as assigned.


    • Doctorate Degree required
    • Either your Masters or Doctorate degree should be in one of the general education disciplines (i.e., sciences, humanities, social sciences, etc.)
    • At least three years of experience as a dean or chief academician in an environment where faculty supervision of both full time and part time faculty was prevalent and ongoing
    • Previous teaching experience, most desirably in a full-time faculty role at a college or university for at least 5 years
    • Experience in managing geographically diverse groups strongly desired
    • Ability to make and effectively communicate decisions in sensitive environment
    • Ability to motivate, inspire excellence and build consensus
    • Strong oral communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate via email and phone effectively and operate remotely are required
    • Ability to travel as needed
