  • Opportunity at a Glance

    This role reports into the National Dean of Faculty for Chamberlain University. In this role, you will perform a variety of general administrative activities in order to support the National Dean and the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE).


    Location: This position is remote. You will work from home.


    • Provide administrative support in area of typing correspondence, memos and reports
    • Reviews clerical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
    • Prepares activities reports for guidance of management
    • Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow
    • Maximizes productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications
    • Identifies administrative needs and develops appropriate solutions or recommendations
    • Answers inquiries, uses discretion handling difficult calls and routes calls to appropriate individual
    • Compiles and generates statistical reports
    • Maintains calendar(s), email boxes, for the supervisor and/or department and audits website portal for accuracy
    • Hosts and coordinates virtual meetings (i.e., managing chat rooms and ensuring presentations are prepared)
    • Maintains contact with customers and outside vendors
    • Completes other duties as assigned


    • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 5 or more years of relevant, previous administrative support experience
    • Experience in higher education environment is a plus
    • Highly proficient in using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), WebEx (or similar platform) and Internet
    • Experience with database and document management
    • Experience in preparing and editing professional presentations
    • A willingness to flex your schedule in order to meet business needs
    • Ability to problem-solve / analytical skills 
    • Ability to multi-task successfully is essential 
    • Ability to work well in a virtual environment
    • Good organizational, interpersonal and professional communication skills
    • Detail orientation skills
    • Ability to travel up to 2 times per year for national meetings
