    As an Admissions Coordinator, you will support the Director of Admissions and the Campus Admissions team by performing a variety of activities involved in the enrollment process. You will gain a clear understanding of educational departmental procedures and support and interact with admissions advisors, staff throughout multiple departments as well as perspective students.

    Responsibilities

    In this role you will:

    • Greet students, staff and visitors in a professional manner; answer questions and adheres to requests, and follow the TEACH values at all time, including time on the telephone. 
    • Handle all recruitment administrative staff and front office matters, including resolving issues from students and staff. 
    • Show outstanding customer service to all callers and visitors, using discretion when handling difficult calls and promptly route to appropriate department/employees. 
    • Use independent judgment, determining when to act for the Director of Admissions and when to refer matters for personal attention. 
    • Assist the admissions team in scheduling (or rescheduling) campus interviews and pre-enrollment visits. Follow up with prospective students throughout the enrollment process, including and not limited to, the collection of admission paperwork, such as official transcripts and other necessary documents. 
    • Coordinate all activities pertaining to the new student lifecycle and Chamberlain Admission process. 
    • Review new student records to ensure accuracy, completeness and timely processing. 
    • Prepare and generate activity reports to support and guide management. 
    • Research, develop and follow existing processes and/or create and implement new resources that improve timely and efficient workflow. 
    • Maintain calendar and personal database, schedule meetings and events and assist with travel arrangements. 
    • Monitor admissions advisor’s paperwork for accuracy and generate reports for the Director of Admissions. 
    • Maintain proficiency in multiple databases – entering, searching and updating prospective student information.  
    • Relate to prospective and accepted students by setting up appointments on behalf of the Chamberlain Admissions Advisor. 
    • Monitor, order and stock recruitment supplies and maintain an adequate inventory. 
    • Perform other administrative and clerical duties and projects as assigned by supervisor. 
    • Complete other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. 
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service and closely related clerical support experience.
    • PC skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and internet applications. 
    • Excellent organizational, time management skills, customer service and data entry skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Typing skills at least 40 wpm. 
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including quality voice and pronunciation skills with the ability to speak clearly and be understood.
    • Ability to work with little supervision and exhibit initiative.
    • Exhibit a collaborative attitude with the willingness to share and exchange ideas.
    • Strong ethical decision-making skills, always doing what is best for the students as well as Chamberlain.
    • Special Requirements: Valid state driver’s license and personal car are necessary. Ability to work evenings and weekends.
