    Chamberlain College of Nursing's Phoenix Campus is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to support the Academic Department, including the Dean, Academic Affairs and three Associate Deans of Faculty. In this role, the individual will take responsibility for a variety of general office activities with a basic understanding of departmental procedures. The Administrative Coordinator will provide traditional administrative support in the areas of typing, maintaining calendars etc.

     

    It takes a strong set of organizational and communication skills to be effective in this highly visible role, so we want to meet with people who have passion for education, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and solid commitment to consistently providing exceptional service.

    Responsibilities

    In this role, you will:

    • Provide administrative support in area of typing correspondence, memos and reports.
    • Review clerical and personnel records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
    • Prepare activities reports for guidance of management.
    • Researche and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
    • Answer inquires, uses discretion handling difficult calls and routes calls to appropriate individual.
    • Maintain calendar(s) for the supervisor and/or department
    • Maintain contact with customers and outside vendors
    • Complete other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

     

    • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
    • At least 2 years of experience in clerical support. 
    • PC skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and internet applications. 
    • Strong organizational, customer service and data entry skills.
    • Typing skills of at least 40 wpm.
