    The position is responsible for leading the university’s creative strategy as well as actively supporting the leadership team by developing innovative and differentiating creative. The ideal candidate will come with a rich background in driving brand marketing and innovation and be comfortable working within in a fast paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. We are looking for a candidate that will generate big, bold ideas and are obsessed with infusing personality into brands to bring a true connection on a human-level. This position will translate abstract ideas into design concepts with a clear process for execution bringing a forward-thinking, world-class brand to life.

    This position will report to the Senior Director of Marketing but work closely with the functional leaders across the university.  In addition, this position will work closely with leadership to develop a strategy for transforming & elevating the brand. S/he will lead and inspire teams of creative personnel and content creators to enhance company’s profile, work with the executive leadership team and human resources to build stakeholder engagement, and influence customer and consumer behavior. Finally, this position will also be responsible for the creative activation of brand strategy across all channels including paid media (digital and traditional), marketing communications & collaterals, presentations and events.  This also includes creative brand photography and audio and video production. 

    Responsibilities

    • Support university brand elevation and activation working in conjunction with the marketing leadership & research team.
    • Support brand awareness and consideration elevation (as a university and across the college of nursing and health professions).
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional departments and lead a creative team.
    • Translating marketing objectives into clear creative strategies.
    • Responsible to lead the teams to produce all creative assets for paid media, marketing and marcom materials.
    • Direct the activities of creative agencies to align with university objectives, strategies and scope of work.
    • Lead the creative direction and concepting of visual/marketing campaigns in all platforms including linear, digital, social, mobile, video, and live events.
    • Responsible for University brand and creative brand standards.
    • Responsible to continually refresh creative to optimize campaign outcomes.
    • Responsible for audio/video production and event management.
    • Leads a team responsible for creative for university publications including: including the Chamberlain Magazine, Viewbook, Commencement, etc.
    • Responsible to lead teams for environmental creative design to amplify and promote the Chamberlain brand across at campus locations nationwide.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects from concept through activation.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Creative Design, Marketing Communications, or Brand Management; Master’s Degree in Business preferred.
    • 10 years’ experience in creative production, branding, or marketing including 7 years minimum leadership/management experience.
    • Extensive digital experience across varied channels including rich media.
    • A passionate, energetic, creative visionary.
    • Must be able to collaborate with a variety of colleagues across the organization.
    • Proven success managing creative teams & agencies.
    • Strong organizational, logistical and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining work quality.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences and constituencies.
    • Demonstrated strategic & critical thinking ability.
    • Must possess exceptional communication, and presentation skills.
    • Strong management, coaching and leadership skills.
    • Ability to inspire, motivate a team to accomplish goals.
