    Chamberlain College of Nursing is actively seeking an Office Assistant/Test Proctor for our Houston campus. This position supports the administration of all academic testing with some administrative responsibilities. This will be achieved by the administration of software components to testing computers and collaboration with Chamberlain College of Nursing campus staff. Assist with other projects in support of other administrative assistants.


    • Front Reception Desk/Student Services Suite desk coverage.
    • Responsible for the monitoring of all academic testing.
    • Maintains confidentiality of testing materials, test logs and test documents.
    • Assists in the coordination and execution of academic testing.
    • Learns the examination testing processes and procedures.
    • Maintain confidentiality of student and faculty information.
    • Returns testing materials to the appropriate instructors after testing or if the time frame for testing has expired.
    • Works with faculty to proctor exams in a timely manner.
    • Establishes the testing center schedule to meet the needs of staff, faculty, students and prospective students.
    • Assists with setup of exam materials or online testing sites.
    • Follows all administrative processes to ensure fair and valid testing.
    • Provides needed assistance for those in need of special accommodations.
    • Maintains a quiet environment conducive to testing.
    • Works professionally and collaboratively with campus personnel.
    • Completes appropriate documentation.  
    • Assists with projects and/or tasks in an administrative assistant capacity.
    • Completes other projects and duties as assigned.


    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • At least 2 years experience in customer service and clerical duties. 
    • Prior receptionist experiences preferred.   

    PC skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel PowerPoint and internet applications.
