    Chamberlain University is experiencing continued growth and we are looking to add colleagues to our National Admissions team. This position will support Admissions for our 21 Campuses offering a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Our Admissions Advisors are the first point of contact for prospective students, so we are looking for engaging, warm, enthusiastic people who will quickly create meaningful relationships.

     

    We hire colleagues who are passionate about the value of higher education, and who want to help our students take the first step in continuing their education. 

     

    Under supervision, the Advisor is responsible for working with prospective students. The process includes all phases of the Admissions process from marketing the program with future students to qualifying them for enrollment. Resolves most enrollment questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. 

     

    Location: this position is located at our Addison, IL Campus at 1221 North Swift Road, Addison, Il 60101.

    Responsibilities

    • The role of the admissions advisor is to speak to individuals via phone; take incoming calls and place outbound calls to prospective students in a call center team environment. 
    • Admissions advisors interview prospective students to determine their motivation for attending college; understand their career goals and the obstacles that might prevent them from starting or continuing their education; help them to overcome those obstacles; and ultimately help them identify the degree-program that best matches their needs.
    • During the interview advisors present information about the benefits of education and Chamberlain University, tailoring their message to the student’s needs, motivation, and career goals.
    • Completes certification process and associated training to develop broad Admissions knowledge
    • Applies TEACH Values in the completion of all job assignments
    • Networks and develops professional relationships to generate personally-developed inquiries
    • Provides excellent customer service to students through application and enrollment process
    • Screens potential student applicants by phone and sets campus interviews
    • Assesses future students to ensure they have the potential, traits, characteristics, qualifications and financial wherewithal to be enrolled through graduation
    • Provides general customer service to students from enrollment through graduation
    • Adheres to laws and regulations governing student recruitment activities as well as the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
    • Completes other duties as assigned and can quickly adapt to changes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Outstanding verbal communication and written skills are required with the ability to craft well-written, compelling messages to our students and fellow colleagues.
    • Desire to work in a team and goal-oriented environment along with being internally motivated and the ability to work well independently.
    • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to be a self-starter
    • A passion for higher education and the desire to help prospective students achieve their educational and career goals.
    • Enjoy interacting with prospective students over the phone, getting to know them to create a meaningful relationship.
    • Ability to work 1 evening per week; and an occasional Saturday (1 to 2 x per month)
