    Adtalem Global Education is pleased to announce an exciting career opportunity within our Talent Acquisition Team, Talent Acquisition Specialist. This entry level position will participate in recruitment activities within the Adtalem Medical and Healthcare vertical including Ross University School of Medicine, American University of the Caribbean, Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and Chamberlain University.  We are looking for someone with 1-3 years recruiting experience.

     

    This position includes opening, advertising, sourcing and interviewing candidates, working with hiring managers, and initiating and monitoring the background check process. This person will manage a high requisition load, averaging 20-25 open positions.

    Responsibilities

    • Works with hiring managers and HR partners within the medical and healthcare vertical to deliver talent for open positions.
    • Prepares requisition and obtains the necessary approvals in order to begin recruiting for various positions
    • Develops thorough sourcing strategies to generate applicant flow for hard to fill positions
    • Ability to work with hiring managers at all levels to influence process changes and hiring outcomes
    • Participates in recruitment projects and recommends changes to the process to increase attraction and attention of applicants
    • Follows through on all resumes and applications received to ensure that proper correspondence is sent to applicants; maintains resume and application database
    • Conducts phone interviews in order to qualify candidates
    • Administers approved and validated employment assessment tests
    • Ensures that reference checks are completed on each candidate, which includes a background check
    • Communicates with candidates who have been declined in order to thank them for applying and to courteously advise them that they are no longer being considered for the position
    • Ensures that applicant records and statistics are properly maintained; ensures that all phases of the employment process are in full, legal compliance
    • Extends offers of employment to selected candidates and notifies Human Resources staff of all new-hires so that hiring paperwork can be generated
    • Assists in compiling reports, makes recommendations on continuous improvement efforts, tracks effectiveness of sourcing methods
    • Participates in committees and meetings as assigned
    • Completes other duties as assigned


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or other related discipline required.
    • 1-3 years of corporate or in-house recruiting experience.
    • Strong sourcing and networking skills to generate and expand a candidate pipeline aligned with current and projected objectives.
    • Full life cycle recruiting experience with effective organization, planning, process, time management, and multitasking skills to meet hiring needs.
    • Attention to detail, effective time-management skills, agility and the capacity to consistently complete administrative steps associated with the hiring process with accuracy.
    • Ability to manage candidate expectations, provide timely feedback, and insure that candidates have a positive recruiting experience.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills including poise, tact and diplomacy.
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.
    • Proficiency in using various applicant tracking systems (iCIMS), social media, recruitment tools, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other productivity and recruiting tools.
