    In this position you will support multiple leaders in our post-licensure and graduate nursing programs by performing a variety of general administrative activities. This position reports to the Associate Dean, MSN Specialty Track.


    • Prepare high level documentation and advanced correspondence for presentation to leaders and other internal and external sources
    • Maintain accurate records and files; develop and maintain filing systems including electronic and hard copy and network systems to ensure files are in the proper format and filed in a timely manner
    • Act as a liaison between the leaders and employees, clients and all external contacts such as clinical providers, by utilizing good judgment in determining when to act independently and when to refer matters for further attention
    • Provide administrative support including typing correspondence, memos, meeting minutes, performing data entry, compiling statistical and other reports
    • Review clerical and other records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
    • Research and develop resources that create timely and efficient workflow
    • Maximize productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications and streamlining processes whenever possible
    • Identify administrative needs and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
    • Answer inquiries and use discretion handling difficult calls--routing calls as appropriate
    • Assist with staff and faculty onboarding
    • Maintain calendar(s) for your supervisor and/or department
    • Maintain contact with internal customers and clinical providers
    • Complete other duties as assigned


    • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or college degree preferred

    • 3 - 5 years of previous experience providing administrative support in a higher education environment; experience working virtually and for an online nursing program is preferred
    • Proficiency with using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and WebEx (or similar platform) as well as with internet applications and office equipment. 
    • Problem-solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Experience in project and event management is preferred
    • Experience with report generation from multiple systems
    • Experience with database and document management
    • Experience in preparing and editing professional presentations
    • A willingness to flex your schedule in order to meet business needs
    • Ability to problem-solve--must possess analytical thinking skills 
    • Ability to multi-task successfully
    • Ability to work well in a virtual environment
    • Organizational, detail-orientation, interpersonal and professional communication skills
    • Ability to travel up to 2 times per year for national meetings
