    In this role you will create and deliver development programs and curriculum for the faculty of Chamberlain to promote faculty development including: developing and delivering educational materials; guiding the growth of faculty with purposeful and effective approaches that promote extraordinary preparation at the undergraduate and graduate levels; evaluating the effectiveness of the development programs; providing continuous quality improvement of the teaching/learning materials and modalities; developing and maintaining communications of new initiatives and courses as available; fostering personal and professional growth and mentoring; and leading teams in development and facilitation of programs to support faculty in teaching and learning practices, research and scholarship.


    The position reports directly to the Dean of Faculty, has no direct reports and will require travel to our various campses, as needed.


    • In collaboration with campus and program leadership, identify faculty needs and deliver educational offerings to advance the effectiveness and professional development of faculty.
    • Support campus and program leadership in meeting faculty development needs.
    • Design, implement and evaluate effectiveness of ongoing faculty training and professional development programs such as faculty workshops, seminars, asynchronous learning opportunities and formal education courses.
    • Serve as resource person and mentor for faculty and program leadership.
    • Drive improved outcomes through monitoring and tracking results against goals and outcomes. 
    • Build and maintain relationships with campus and online faculty to ensure collaboration in initiatives and programs.
    • Collaborate with national teams to support and maintain a mechanism for sharing of best teaching practices throughout the University.
    • Maintain accurate records of CFE sponsored faculty training and developmental activities including topics presented, attendee lists and evaluations. 
    • Guide and support exemplary programs that encourage transformative learning such as the international experience program and other initiatives.
    • Represent faculty development at campus and remote locations.
    • Evaluate and update development materials.
    • Recommend and use technology to implement faculty training and development in a cost-effective manner. 
    • Complete other projects and duties as assigned.

    • Doctoral degree in nursing (or related field), from a regionally accredited institution
    • Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification highly desired
    • Current unencumbered registered nurse license required
    • 5 or more years of nursing education experience including either faculty or leadership roles.
    • Experience with designing and implementing development programs based on adult learning theory
    • Curriculum or faculty development experience 
    • Evidence of scholarship and service
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills
    • Ability to manage and coordinate the details of multiple concurrent projects; and proficiency with project management leadership, practices and tools
    • Ability to influence and instill credibility in administrative team, peers and subordinates by meeting project milestones on time and on budget
    • Ability to effectively and consistently influence and guide teams and development programs
    • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships; possess effective and consistent interpersonal and conflict resolution/management skills
    • Ability to travel to our various campuses as needed 
    • Ability to manage a variety of business and vendor resources
    • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision and direction
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
